I remember that phone companies promised that 5G cellular service would have high bandwidth and low latency, so that remote driving like the picture shows would be just as good as having a driver in the car. I’m a bit surprised that no taxi or trucking company has partnered with a phone company to advertise “no lags or dropouts”.

I’ve also been puzzled why military drone pilots are never shown with displays for peripheral vision like these or with VR headsets, when “situational awareness” gets so much attention in fighter pilot training literature. It’s a logical extension of the perspective of FPV drone racing — it could be awesome on Twitch.

And not to mention, why aren’t displays like this available on gym treadmillls? They would make for superior trail running simulations.
