I used to be for automated cars because I understand actual data and reality and appreciate better safety. But I had a Waymo car come into my lane entering the western parking lot of the PHX airport during the first week of Jan 2024. It was in a turning lane next to me at the stoplight while I was in the proper lane to go straight across. And when the light turned green, I had to stomp on my brakes by the other side of the intersection to prevent the Waymo from sideswiping me. It blissfully kept on driving with no one in the car. I reported it to Waymo with no response, not even an acknowledgement of my report to them. These 'automated' cars need to be banned BECAUSE of the humans in charge of the companies.

You had one near-collision with an automated car, and you want to ban all of them? Have you ever had a near-collision with a non-automated car? Did it make you want to ban all cars? (Yeah, it maybe did, at least for a while. But once you calmed down, did you still want to ban all cars?)
